Shelby Marshall

Shelby has been sharing the practice of yoga for over 3 years and teaches Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin classes. Her classes include intelligent sequencing, and creatively crafted playlists to provide a sacred space for all yogis to connect to themselves and their breath.

Carla Playford

Carla has over 700 hours of training in flow yoga and yoga therapy. She thrives off of leading yogis through sequences and breath that helps them dive deeper into themselves and their experience. She loves to challenge students to find their edge with the intention of compassion driving the journey.

Where do I lay my head?

We have the privilege of renting two private lodges just a 5 minute walk away from kicking house mountain resort. The Grand Chalet Grizzly will host us for our meals and evening activities and the Fir Tree Lodge will be our yoga house for the weekend. Our group will be staying at both lodges and they are only a few steps away from each other. Rooms are first come first serve! There are options for single, double, or triple occupancy.

What's on the menu?

We are so excited to welcome Chef Samantha Berthelet to fill our bellies all weekend long! Samantha is a local Chef in Fort McMurray at Mitchell's cafe (yep, if you've been to Mitchell's you are probably as excited as we are!) Get ready to taste amazing food that will leave you feeling nourished and satisfied!

Movement on the Mat 

Each morning will start with a flow styled yoga practice (all levels) with either Carla or Shelby. We will lengthen and strengthen our muscles while finding a sweet connection with the breath. After a day full of adventure and good food we will settle in with a yin practice to ease you into the rest your night. Each practice will help to quiet the noise in your head so you can come back to yourself.

8:30-9:30 flow yoga

9:30 breakfast buffet

11:00-3:00 outdoor adventure

4:00-5:15 yin yoga

6:00 family style dinner

7:30-9:00 mala workshop

*outdoor adventures are optional if cozying in bed or hot-tubbing with a book is more up your ally
